Biography: Raymond is one of our kindest and most patient horses. He is small and has a huge heart that just about everyone falls in love with. We have had him at Blue Cloud for many years and has been many people's first horse experience. He has a big bouncy step and a lovely swinging canter. He would rather follow other horses then be by himself. He doesn't jump but is one of the most beautiful horses to watch ride around the arena.

Biography: Dan is one of our silliest horses. He is a big beautiful horse who loves being a lesson horse. He is a wiggly horse who seems to always have his own ideas of where he is going and what he is doing. He doesn't take much leg because he would much rather be trotting around the ring then standing still. Although Dan acts like he is boss, he loves a good rider who can be his partner. He loves to make his own decisions and is one of the favorites because of his confident choices.

Biography: Okie is the old man of the farm who is one of our safest horses. He is Mr. Relaxed around here and used to be a western lesson horse until he discovered jumping. Now, that is what he lives for. He has a laid back gait and a potentially difficult to ride four beat canter but with a jump in front of him, he is as big as any horse. He is talented over the fences and finds his way to the jumps with close to no help from the rider. He is a great horse for the nervous rider and with this laid back attitude, he is easy to get along with and love.
Stormy

Biography: Stormy is our newest lesson horse. He is the only pony that we have and only occasionally acts like it. He is a beautiful paint pony with a tiny trot and a carousel like canter. He can be a rascal but loves the little riders. He is not a fan of whips or tall grass or men but has learned to love jumping and is becoming talented at it too. We are very happy to have him here.

Biography: Metro is a teddy bear of a horse who has a spunky attitude with much kindness and patience behind it. He has a talented jump with much enthusiasm and often times can be long over the fences. He has somewhat automatic lead changes and a big bounce to his step. He hates having an overly tight girth and loves being turned out and running around with other horses. He seems to think he is the stud in the barn and prances around letting everyone know it.
James

Biography: James is one of our loveliest horses who has a huge stride and is an easy ride if you stay out of his way. He is a super flashy hunter who brings back plenty of ribbons from the shows. He is super sensitive, needs a soft hand and soft seat to be happy. He is great out on the trails and is overall happy to be messed with and loved.
Nearco

Biography: Nearco is our jumper lesson horse. At the shows, when the horn sounds, he is off looking for the jump whether you are ready or not. He has a huge jump, even over the small stuff. He knows a lot about riding and likes riders who ride him well. He can be a fancy horse with a big warmblood gait and a huge canter but it takes skill to keep him in a package. He has super smooth flying changes and knows his way around a course of jumps. He is a favorite around the barn for his funny laid back attitude with his equally crazy spunk when he is in the mood.

Biography: Cheers is our beautiful and huge lesson horse who is a fun ride for the advanced rider. He has long legs and a big prancing gait. He can be quick over the fences and needs his rider to be a partner over the jumps. He has a flashy look that people are drawn to and has a big Thoroughbred heart that gives you all he has.

We love our lesson horses and take pride in taking great care of them. We don't overuse our horses or push them past their comfort level. Each one is a great teacher in their own right.
